Notice of Public HearingNotice is hereby given that the Bladen County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Courthouse located at 106 East Broad Street, Elizabethtown. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments regarding an application for a $250,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to assist with the expansion of Carol Poultry to create at least ten (10) new jobs at 414 Industrial Drive, Bladenboro, NC 28320. $235,000 of this grant will be used to purchase capital equipment to be leased to the industry. The cost of the manufacturing equipment to be acquired is at least $1,500,000. The CDBG Grant will cover approximately seventeen (17%) percent of the total cost of the project. $15,000 of the grant will be used for planning and to promote entrepreneurship in Bladen County.Charles Ray Peterson,ChairmanBladen County Board of Commissioners
