Angie Butcher’s fourth-grade homeroom won the September Accelerated Reading Award. Students in her class accumulated the most points in the program, meaning that they read and completed quizzes on the most books. The class received a frameable certificate. They also get to house the AR trophy in their classroom until the October awards are announced. Several other homerooms were recognized as well: second place went to Mr. Holzhauer’s third-grade homeroo; third place to Mrs. Junious’s third-grade homeroom; fourth place to Mrs. Landreth’s third-grade homeroom; and fifth place to Mrs. Dowless’s third-grade homeroom. The Nonfiction Award went to Miss Todd’s first-grade homeroom.
