ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office answered 55 calls from the public between April 2 and April 9, and made a total of 35 arrests during that time.
Among the calls from the public were 13 for breaking and/or entering, three for larceny, three for verbal and/or physical assault, three for drugs, three for suspicious activity and two for alarms.
Following are the more interesting and important arrests:
— John Frederick Bowden, 51, charged with assault on a female at 2224 N.C. 20 in St. Pauls on April 2.
— Larenzo Obryant Hines, 30, charged with felony possession of stolen goods at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on April 2.
— Gene Coleman Hester, 53, charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on April 3.
— Marlene Renee Antone, 32, charged with civil contempt for child abuse at 410 W. Green St. in Clarkton on April 3.
— Christian Tyler Grossman, 22, charged with felony larceny of a firearm at 706 Tobermory Road in St. Pauls on April 3.
— Randel Levon Thompson, 23, charged with felony possession of a stolen firearm at 14681 N.C. 87 West/Tar Heel Road in Tar Heel on April 3.
— Dominic Tyquan Shipman, 18, charged with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance at East Bladen High on April 4.
— Chimere Nicole White, 31, charged with felony probation violation at Bladen County DSS in Elizabethtown on April 4.
— Phillip T. Jenrette, 26, charged with civil contempt for child support at 1872 N.C. 242 South in Bladenboro on April 4.
— Ryan D. Graham, 18, charged with possession of marijuana less than one-half to one and one-half ounces at East Bladen High on April 4.
— Michael Dwayne Wix, 26, charged with 26, charged with assault on a female at 13442 N.C. 131 in Bladenboro on April 5.
— Kasey Jo Becker, 32, charged with contempt of court for child support at 807 Brisson Ave. in Elizabethtown on April 5.
— Dan Junior English, 67, charged with assault of an emergency personnel at 15731 N.C. 53 West in White Oak on April 5.
— Maurice James Williams, 17, charged with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance at East Bladen High on April 8.
