HIGH POINT — Mary Katherine Ritchie of High Point and Britt Alexander Huggins of Elizabethtown were united in marriage on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at High Point Country Club with the Rev. D.L. Page Jr. presiding.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Ritchie of High Point. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Bobby Ritchie and the late Joyce Ritchie of High Point and Mr. and Mrs. John Russell of High Point.
She is a graduate of Ledford High School and UNC-Wilmington and is employed by the Brunswick County Health Department as a nurse.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Huggins Jr. of Elizabethtown. He is the grandson of Mr. Fredrick Britt and the late Sybil Britt of Bladenboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Huggins Sr. of Elizabethtown.
Britt is a graduate of East Bladen High School and UNC-Wilmington and is employed by the Brunswick County Health Department as a health educator.
The Maid of Honor was Lindsay Brendle, and bridesmaids were Emily Eubanks, Emily Auringer, Kelsey Hoffman, Kristin Clinard, and Paige Huggins, sister of the groom.
The Best Man was Bobby Huggins, father of the groom, and groomsmen were Nathan Howell, Matthew Lomax, Nolan Hall, Bradley Cottle, Steven Paylor, and Zach Ritchie, brother of the bride.
Miller Webster, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl, and Hayes Ritchie, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer for the ceremony.
Musicians included the Revs. D.L. and Rhonda Page.
Program Attendant was Sydney Jackson, cousin of the groom.
The wedding was directed by Cindy Cecil.
After the wedding, the couple took a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and currently reside in Leland.
