Investigatoin continuing in shooting death

BLADENBORO — The investigation is continuing into the recent shooting death of a woman in Bladenboro.According to Bladenboro Police Chief Chris Hunt, the woman has been identified as Patricia Cooper.“The department certainly wants to offer its condolences to the family of Patricia Cooper,” Hunt said. “Anytime there is a loss of life, it’s unfortunate and tragic.”He added that the investigation is ongoing, but that the incident appears to have arisen out of a domestic dispute between Cooper and an ex-boyfriend.No arrests have been made, but Hunt said he hopes to have the investigation wrapped up soon — as early as today or Wednesday.The fatal shooting took place at about 2:30 a.m. on Monday.
