Fund sends money to local fire departments
Firefighters in several Bladen County communities were the recipient of money from the 2012 Volunteer Fire Department Fund when grants were announced recently. The fund, administered by the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal, handed out about $8.7 million to 644 volunteer fire departments across North Carolina recently.
