Festival committee’s annual oyster roast set for Feb. 25

DUBLIN — The Dublin Peanut Festival Committee will host its fourth annual “All You Can Eat” Oyster Roast and Fish Fry on Saturday, Feb. 25.

The event will be held at Lu Mil Vineyard in The General Store and will run from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The meal will consist of steamed oysters, fried whiting fillets), slaw, hushpuppies, dessert and tea or water.

The event is held each year to help with the expenses of the Dublin Peanut Festival and an annual scholarship that is given to a graduating senior to attend Bladen Community College.

Tickets may be purchased in advance for $35 at Lu Mil Vineyard (910-866-5819) or from any Peanut Festival Committee member. Tickets will also be available at the door for $40.
