ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Animal Shelter will be closed until Wednesday, May 17, at 8:30 a.m. because of several animal illnesses (Parvo) in the shelter.
Shelter employees will be giving booster shots to the animals currently there and sanitizing the entire shelter. This will ensure all animals are healthy again. The shelter will not take in any dogs or let any dogs go out except to rescue or for emergency calls during this time.
