ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Veterans’ Day Ceremony is on “Taps” for early November.

Set to take place at the National Guard Armory in Elizabethtown, the 12th annual ceremony will feature guest speaker Chief Warrant Officer III Jason Ray, U.S. Army (Ret.), with a memorial tribute by Staff Sergeant James Robert Burney, U.S. Air Force. Ray serves as principal at East Bladen High School.

In addition to presentations by Ray and Burney, the program includes a singing of the national anthem by East Bladen High School student Peyton Fell, a recognition of veterans, recognition of an outstanding cadet, and a performance by the West Bladen High School band. Kalen Hunsinger, a welding student at Bladen Community College, will be performing “Taps.”

The Veterans’ Day Ceremony will take place Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Armory, located at 1001 Swanzy St. in Elizabethtown.
