LUMBERTON — In addition to film and live performances, the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater displays artwork by regional artists as part of its cultural offerings. The theater currently is seeking qualified artists to display artwork during the 2015-16 season starting in September.

Exhibits can feature single, duo or group artist displays. Artists wishing to submit work should contact the theater via e-mail at ccc@nc.rr.com with two samples of their artwork, a resume and an artist statement. Exhibit selections will be made based upon quality of work, appropriateness of subject and other criteria. At this time only two-dimensional artwork can be accepted.

Exhibits typically run at least two months and feature an opening reception that is free to the public and can include artist talk or demonstration. Artwork can be sold, with a gallery fee taken by the theater.

Exhibits can be viewed during scheduled events at the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater or by appointment by calling 910-738-4339. For a full schedule of events, go to www.carolinaciviccenter.com
