Bladen County businesses and offices have announced closings for the Thanksgiving holiday.

— All Bladen County Public Library branches will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, through Saturday, Nov. 25, in observance of Thanksgiving. All branches will reopen Monday, Nov. 27.

— Bladen County Public Schools will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.

— Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy will be closed Nov. 20-27 for Thanksgiving leave.

— According to Emereau:Bladen’s website, the school will have early dismissal Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 11:45 a.m. The school will be closed for the remainder of the year and will reopen Jan. 3, 2018.

— Bladen Community College will close Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24.

— There will be no mail delivery Thursday, Nov. 23, and post offices will be closed. Normal delivery and post office hours will resume Friday, Nov. 24.

— All banks are closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and will re-open Friday, Nov. 24, with the exception of the State Employees Credit Union, which will be closed Friday, Nov. 24, as well.

— There will be no trash pickup Thursday, Nov. 27. Customers with Thursday pickup will have collection delayed one day.

— All federal, state, and municipal government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23.

— Bladen County administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, to celebrate the holiday.

— The Bladen Journal offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and will re-open Friday, Nov. 24.
