— The Bladenboro Art Gallery invites the public to a folk art exhibit by Paula Blizzard and Dani Kaye Blizzard. It will include a wide variety of folk art: painting on wood, glass, metal, rocks, pottery and gourds. You can come view and return home with a nice craft at a reasonable price. The exhibit will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in the Bladenboro Historical Society Building (the old school house) at 818 S. Main St. in Bladenboro. Admission is free. • LUMBERTON: Lumber River Council of Governments and Southern Regional Area Heath Education Center will be providing a one-day Aging Conference- Successful Aging: Raising Awareness through Education on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Southeastern NC Agricultural Center, 1027 U.S. 74 East, Lumberton. This conference will feature multiple tracks for both the healthcare professionals, non-professionals and caregivers who work with and care for older adults. Sessions will include topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia, Healthy Aging, Medicare, Polypharmacy, Opioid use/abuse, and the Five Love Languages, among other important topics. — Bladenboro Visual Arts Council presents a lifetime collection of art by artist Sam Pait and other artists in the Art Gallery. Some of the art will be for sale.
