HENDERSONVILLE (AP) — Police in Hendersonville say a man has been arrested after they say he doused another man with gasoline and set him on fire.

Local media outlets report the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said 37-year-old Joseph Wolff III of Asheville was arrested and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to an address in the Edneyville community after receiving a report of a fight.

Maj. Frank Stout said the victim was transported to Mission Hospital in Asheville, then transferred to the burn unit at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The man’s condition is unknown.

Wolff is being held at the Henderson County jail under an $80,000 secured bond. Online records don’t indicate whether he has an attorney.
