CHARLOTTE (AP) — A woman has been arrested a second time on a trespassing charge at a vacant home she has taken over in Charlotte.

Multiple media outlets reported that 42-year-old Ninti El-Bey was arrested Tuesday at the $800,000 home and charged with first degree trespassing and breaking and entering.

El-Bey had been arrested Nov. 7 on a charge of second-degree trespassing.

Property records show the home is in foreclosure and is owned by Chase Bank.

El-Bey told WBTV she has documentation to prove she belongs in the home. El-Bey said she is part of the International Indigenous Trust and it has an agreement with the bank that owns the house.

It was not clear if she has an attorney.

Court records show she is suing Charlotte-Mecklenburg police for trying to remove her.
