After temperatures reach into the low 60s Thursday through Saturday around the region, Mother Nature’s icy fingers will get a firm grip on Bladen County starting Monday.

According to AccuWeather (see map, Page 2A), a severe cold front will dip into the Cape Fear Region overnight on Sunday, sending Monday’s high only to the upper 30s and delivering a low of just 18 degrees.

On Tuesday, high temperatires are expected to be about 38 degrees, while the low will be about 22.

Things will begin to warm up on Wednesday, with the high that day expected to be about 47. On Thursday, Bladen County should see temperatures reaching the upper 50s once again.

AccuWeather also predicted a dry week for Bladen County.
