ELIZABETHTOWN – The State Bureau of Investigation is continuing its investigation of the officer involved shooting that occurred following a traffic stop in Elizabethtown early Saturday morning.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Dennis Windell Marshall, 29, of Elizabethtown. The law enforcement officers involved in the incident have been identified as Bladen County Sheriff’s Deputy David A. Schmale, Jr. and Elizabethtown Police Officer J. Blake Bryan.
Upon completion of the investigation the SBI will provide the completed case file to the Bladen County District Attorney’s office.
