WILMINGTON — WWAY NewsChannel 3 out of Wilmington is hitting the road to bring good news to its viewers, and the next stop is Bladen County.

“Good Evening Wilmington,” the area’s only TV newscast devoted to positive news, is continuing the #ThisIsThePlace Roadtrip Friday in Elizabethtown.

“Good Evening Wilmington” anchor Daniel Seamans will broadcast live from downtown Elizabethtown from 5 to 6:30 p.m., including the entire half hour of “Good Evening Wilmington” starting at 5:30 p.m. The newscast will include features and live interviews about Elizabethtown — including interviews with Mayor Sylvia Campbell, Bladen Journal GM/Editor W. Curt Vincent and others.

“Each night I start the show saying, ‘Love where you live,’” Seamans said. “Now I get to hit the road and see what makes towns around our area so great, especially the people. I love meeting our viewers, and I’m really excited that I get to meet even more in their hometowns.”

Everyone is invited to come out and meet Seamans and the WWAY crew, who will have giveaways and more. You can also enter to win weekly prizes from WWAY and be entered into a grand prize drawing to win a Nest thermostat installed in your home by Roadtrip sponsor Fulford Heating & Cooling. Other #ThisIsThePlace Roadtrip stops will include Southport, Whiteville, Wrightsville Beach, Leland and Carolina Beach. The tour started in Burgaw.
