ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen County Board of Education has rescheduled its December monthly board meeting.
Originally planned for Monday, Dec. 12, this month’s board meeting will be held instead on Monday, Dec. 19. The meeting will still take place at the regular time of 6 p.m.
As a regularly scheduled meeting, action items may be on the agenda, and the board will go into closed session to discuss information that is priveleged, confidential, or not public record, as allowed by law.
Prior to the board meeting, a reception will be held to welcome new board members. Glenn McKoy, Berry Lewis, and Chris Clark will be taking over seats vacated by Chairman Wilbur Smith, Bonnell Walker, and Ophelia Munn-Goins. The reception will be held from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
Both the meeting and the reception will take place at the Bladen County Board of Education administration building on U.S. Hwy. 701 South in Elizabethtown.
