ELIZABETHTOWN — Deputies with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office responded to 50 calls from the public between July 23 and July 30.
Among those calls were six for larceny, five for breaking and/or entering, five for verbal and/or physical assault and three for suspicious activity.
There were also a total of 28 arrests during that same time.

— Steven Robert Boyne, 25, charged with felony breaking and/or entering at 610 E. Broad St. in Elizabethtown on July 23.
— Jason Saleem Wimbush, 33, charged with civil contempt for child support at 13108 N.C. 211 West in Bladenboro on July 23.
— Donald Ray Rains, 59, charged with assault on a female at 206 Lennon Drive in Bladenboro on July 24.
— Horace Baldwin, 50, charged with assault on a female at 168 Sarah Peterson Road in Council on July 25.
— Deanna Joy Sinclaire, 32, charged with possession of a controlled substance in a jail/prison at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on July 25.
— Sergio Mora Fragoso, 26, charged with assault on a female at 41 Frederick Britt Road in Bladenboro on July 26.
— Jeffrey Brandon Merritt, 24, charged with felony organized retail theft at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on July 28.
— Dwight W. Arrington, 36, charged with nonsupport of a child at 198 Drummer Kellum Roads in Jacksonville on July 28.
— Teddy Randal Deaver, 30, charged with felony breaking and/or entering at 1105 Hickory Grove Ballpark Road in Bladenboro on July 28.
— Jerry Ray Burney, 29, charged with felony breaking and/or entering at 106 Courthouse Drive in Elizabethtown on July 29.
