ELIZABETHTOWN — A Bladen County woman was arrested this week and charged with taking money from her employer.

According to Elizabethtown Police Chief Bobby Kinlaw, officers took a report from staff at Taco Bell on U.S. 701 on June 9 concerning a larceny by an employee.

“Taco Bell staff reported that the suspect was a shift supervisor with Taco Bell,” Kinlaw said. “When the suspect closed out her shift on June 5, she was reported to have taken money from the shift funds.”

He did not specify how much money was taken.

Kinlaw said officers investigated and, on Tuesday at about 2:30 p.m. at the Bladen County Magisrate’s Office, arrested and charged Nancy Tisheba Brunson, 28, of Elizabethtown with larceny by employee.

Lane was booked into the Bladen County Jail, where she remains under a $1,000 secured bond.
