WHITE LAKE — Thanks to the public’s assistance, White Lake police have identified two suspects in relation to a larceny of a motor vehicle that happened at Goldston’s Beach along White Lake Drive on Saturday between 6:45 and 7 p.m.

According to Lt. Mike Salmon, the owner of the vehicle laid an article of clothing down next to them that contained the keys to their vehicle as they played arcade games with their family. A woman, who was in the company of another women and three small children, was seen on video removing the keys from the pocket of the clothing, walking to the parking area and sounding the alarm with the key fob.

“The woman is then seen entering the vehicle and driving away at a high rate of speed,” Salmon added.

After a plea to the public for assistance, the two women were identified as Sherry Ann Hunt 27, of Pembroke, and Stephanie Leanne Lamm 29, of Lumberton.

Warrants for arrest have been issued for larceny of a motor vehicle.
