Bladenboro man arrested after break-ins

ELIZABETHTOWN — A Bladenboro man has been arrested by Bladen County sheriff’s deputies and charged with breaking and entering.

Jonathan Adam Andrews, 27, was charged with two different breaking and entering cases that took place at the K&I Grocery in White Oak on Dec. 12 and the Marathon Gas Station in Tar Heel on Dec. 13.

“Andrews is a suspect in several other similar crimes in Bladen county in the past month,” said Sheriff Jim McVicker. “He was caught and charged with breaking and entering of a power sub-station in Columbus County this past weekend.”

Andrews was charged with two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering, two counts of possession of burglary tools, one count of injury to personal property and one count of injury to real property. He is currently in Bladen County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond.

“This man is a suspect in several other crimes we are actively investigating,” said McVicker. “We expect additional charges in the near future.”
