DUBLIN — In celebration of cultural diversity, Bladen Community College will welcome Paul Boaheng, assistant professor of philosophy at Fayetteville State University, to campus on Monday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Student Resource Center. He will speak about understanding and accepting diverse world cultures.

Boaheng is one of two faculty members selected to receive the Fayetteville State University Global Understanding Course Travel Award funded by Title III.

In 2013, he traveled to China to design a Global Understanding course, which encourages students from both countries to be curious about other cultures without judging the beliefs of others.

In addition, Boaheng leads FSU’s Global Understanding Course Training Workshops.

“These workshops are designed to equip faculty with the techniques to design and teach Global Understanding courses with FSU’s international partner institutions,” he said.

The presentation is open to the public. For more information, contact Angie Lowry at 910-879-5543.
