Harrells Christian Academy’s eighth annual Play4Kay Foundation Pink Night was held on Jan. 15, coordinated by the senior class. A Pink Out pep rally for the entire school was a highlight of the day. Through T-shirt and food sales, a silent auction, and other fundraisers, a total of $9,300 was raised for the Play4Kay Foundation. The foundation started by the late North Carolina State University head women’s basketball coach Kay Yow has a goal to raise money to further cancer research and to allow more cancer patients access to research projects and clinical trials. Harrells Christian Academy received the North Carolina High School Division 2015 Play4Kay Award and the Harrells Christian Academy community came through with another big Pink Night win this year.
