DUBLIN — Students and staff at Dublin Primary School were evacuated Thursday morning because of an “electrical issue” in the school’s kitchen.

The evacuation took place at about 11:05 a.m. and fire officials gave the “all clear” at about 11:35 a.m., when students and staff were allowed back in the school.

According to Valerie Newton, public communications and information directory for Bladen County Schools, all students and staff were safe throughout the process and the evacuation was for precautionary purposes.
