GREENSBORO — West Bladen High students affiliated with the school’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter recently attended a three-day leadership conference at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.
While there, students and their advisors from across North Carolina participated in leadership workshops and competitions.
West Bladen’s Madilyn Parrish competed in the Life Planning Event and earned a gold award, while fellow West Bladen student Payton Chavis entered the Career Investigation Event and took home a bronze award.
Allie Marsh, the president of the West Bladen chapter, was installed as the vice-president of correspondence for the North Carolina FCCLA during the 2016-17 school year.
West Bladen High’s advisors are Debra Kinlaw and Gail Marsh.
