Wilma Lewis of Bladenboro announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Lydia Lewis, to Derrick Eugene Black.
The prospective groom is the son of the late Louise Faulkner of Bladenboro. He is a graduate of Bladenboro High School and Bladen Community College with a degree in welding technology. He is employed by United Energy as a welder.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Bladenboro High School and Bladen Community College. She also is a graduate of UNC-Pembroke with a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology and a minor in medical sociology. She is employed by Bo’s Food Store in Bladenboro as an office manager and book keeper.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 12, at 4 p.m. at Bryant Swamp Missionary Baptist Church.
