PARKTON — In unrelated cases, two Parkton men have been reported missing, including one who hasn’t been seen in two months, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeffrey Jermaine McNeil, 39, was reported missing on Thursday by his mother, Alice McNeil, according to a police report. McNeil told a deputy she hadn’t seen her son, who lives on N.C. 71 North, since about 3 p.m. on Jan. 6.

Alice McNeil said other relatives had seen her son at a club in Fayetteville on Jan. 12, but a close friend he sometimes stays with had not heard anything of his whereabouts, according to the report.

The report said Jeffrey McNeil had been driving his brother’s 1994 white two-door Honda Prelude when he went missing. Before filing the report, Alice McNeil learned the car had been involved in a wreck on Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville, but that a Fayetteville woman was driving the car at the time.

Alice McNeil said “it is not like Jeffrey to go long periods of time without contacting her or her husband.”

Jeffrey McNeil is a black male, 6 feet tall and weighs 215 pounds. He has short dark hair, brown eyes and a 3-inch scar on his left wrist. A picture of McNeil was not included in the report.

In a separate case, 46-year-old Larry Leonard McNeill was reported missing on Thursday by his girlfriend, Donnial Ford.

Ford said she last saw McNeill on Tuesday at about 9:30 p.m, according to a police report. The report said Ford and McNeill drove to an unknown home on Barlow Road to meet a man McNeill knew, but Ford only knew by the name “Chico.”

Ford told a deputy McNeill said to stay in the car and he would be right back. McNeill got out of the car to go inside and talk to Chico and never came back, the report said.

After waiting in the car for several minutes, Chico invited Ford inside his home because it was cold, the report said. Ford went in the house and called someone to give her a ride back to her Cumberland County home.

Ford told the deputy she had called jails, hospitals and law enforcement and that neither they nor her boyfriend’s mother had heard from McNeill.

McNeill was last seen wearing a brown coat, blue jeans and black boots.

McNeill is a black male with short dark hair and dark eyes. No further description was included in the report, but a photograph was.

Anyone with information on either case should call the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at 910-671-3100.
