LUMBER BRIDGE — A 9-month-old boy is recovering after being shot during a drive-by shooting, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
The child was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and has since been released, according to Maj. Anthony Thompson, chief of detectives. Thompson did not want to release the child’s name.
According to Thompson, deputies received a call at about 7 a.m. on Wednesday that multiple shots had been fired into a home on the 200 block of Summer Wind Drive.
The child’s mother, 25-year-old Christal Galbreth, and Patrick Graham, 29, live at the home and were there during the shooting, according to the The Fayetteville Observer. No one else was injured.
No arrests have been made.
Thompson told The Fayetteville Observer that the shooting is being investigated separately from two murders that recently occurred about a half-mile away on Knapdale Road. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Office at 910-671-3100.
