Every year, the week leading into our Thanksgiving holiday is designated as National Farm-City Week. Since 1955 this week has been nationally observed as recognition of the impact that agriculture has on our everyday life and the importance for everyone to have a clear understanding of how their food gets from the farm to the table.

Farmers and ranchers are challenged daily with the pressures of producing food for our nation, all the while having to tackle unpredictable weather, crop diseases, price fluctuation and other obstacles.
This year National Farm-City Week runs Nov. 22 through Nov. 28. Please take time out of your busy schedules to thank the farmers that work ever so diligently to put food on your tables and clothes on your backs.
Bladen County Farm Bureau extends a big “thank you” to all of our area farmers.
