ELIZABETHTOWN — Are you caring for a parent, spouse or relative with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia?

On Thursday, March 27, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., a free community workshop will be held in the fellowship hall of the Elizabethtown Baptist Church for family members and friends wanting to know more about how to care for someone with dementia.

Melanie Bunn, a nurse practitioner for Alzheimer’s NC, will discuss the latest in Alzheimer’s care and will answer your questions so that family caregivers can effectively deal with difficult behaviors and learn the approaches and strategies that will help families communicate better with the person with dementia.

Call 1-800-228-8738 to register and inquire if you need a sitter to be able to attend this interactive workshop.
