WHITE LAKE — The Bladen County Committee of 100, Inc. will hold their annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, at The Venue at Regal Resort, in White Lake. The keynote speaker will be State Rep. William Brisson.

The Committee of 100 is a non-profit development corporation devoted to helping ensure that sustained economic growth occurs within the county. It is funded by its members, who are citizens and others interested in the economic well-being of this area. Since its creation in 1995, the organization has built two 40,000-square-foot speculative industrial buildings and has partnered with the Bladen County Economic Development Commission on seven industrial incubators and a number of other projects to help create jobs.

The annual membership fee is $100 for an individual and $200 for a business. For information, call 910-645-2292 for a brochure and membership application.

All members are encouraged to attend the annual meeting. There will be no cost for the dinner for members, but guests can attend with a member at a cost of $15 each. Contact Linda or Jennie at 645-2292 by Aug. 18 to register for the annual meeting or RSVP to lclark@bladenco.org.
