The Labor Day holiday will cause government offices and others to be closed to mark the day.


Those closings include:


— All federal offices and courts will be closed on Monday, Sept 1. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 2.


— All banks will be closed Monday, Sept. 1. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Sept 2.


— There will be no mail delivery on Monday, Sept 1. The U.S. Postal Service will resume its normal schedule on Tuesday, Sept 2.


— The Transfer Station will be closed Monday, Sept. 1 and re-open Tuesday, Sept. 2. The county collection centers will be open Labor Day.


— All state offices, North Carolina courts and local county and municipal government offices will be closed Monday, Sept 1, to mark the holiday. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 2.


— Bladen County Schools will be closed for students and staff on Monday, Sept 1. They will re-open Tuesday, Sept. 2.


— The Bladen Journal offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of the holiday and re-open for business on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 9 a.m.
