Homeroom wins BLP reading award
ELIZABETHTOWN — Greg Holzhauer’s third-grade homeroom at Bladen Lakes Primary School is the October winner of the Accelerated Reading Award.
Holzhauer’s classroom received a certificate and trophy the students will be able to keep during the month of November. His classroom scored more points in the AR program than any other homeroom in the school — meaning that they read and completed quizzes on the most books during the month of October.
Other homerooms also recognized with certificates for high achievement in October were:
— Mrs. Landreth’s third-grade, fifth place
— Mrs. Junious’ third-grade, fourth place
— Mrs. Dowless’ third-grade, third place and Informational Text Award
— Mrs. Butcher’s fourth-grade, second place
— Mrs. Feight’s first-grade, K-2 Award and Most Improved Award
