Nightmare on Elm Street: The Robeson Road Runners will host a one mile run, walk, and costume contest at 7 p.m. The start and finish of the event will be between Third and Fourth streets in Lumberton. The course will pass by iconic Halloween creatures and Freddie himself. After the race all participants are invited back to Candy Sue’s for refreshments and costume contest. Halloween party: Exploration Station will hold a Halloween Party from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Children should wear Halloween costumes. The cost is $7 a child.

Women’s Health Day: Southeastern Home Care Services will be holding its fourth annual Women’s Health Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2002 N. Cedar St., Lumberton. Howl-o-ween Pet Costume contest: South Robeson Veterinary Clinic will hold a pet costume contest on Oct. 26 beginning at 2 p.m. There will be food, games, prizes and tours of the clinics new facility during the event. Prizes will be awarded for pets that dress up in the following categorizes; scariest costume, humorous costume, most creative costume and cutest costume.
