— The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church clothes closet will be open from 8 to 11 a.m. ​The food pantry, “From His Table to Yours,” opens the same day 10 a.m. to noon. — True Vine Holiness Church will celebrate pastor Luel M. Campbell’s 80th birthday at 4 p.m. The program lineup features The Mighty Echoes, The Gospel Wonders of Elizabethtown, deacon Bobby Hardie of Chadburn, among others. — The missionaries of Sandhill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro will take the lead in celebrating “Woman’s Day.” All women in the congregation are urged to wear white and the men will wear aprons and serve them during the meal.

— The Shepherd Support Ministry of Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church will host the fifth inaugural anniversary celebrations for the Rev. Louie Boykin and First Lady Katrina Boykin. A special banquet will be held 6 p.m. at the Regal Venue; 1564 White Lake Drive in White Lake. Guest speaker will be Bishop Varnie N. Fullwood, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton.

July 30

— As part of its anniversary celebration, Baldwin Branch Missionary Church will host Elder Billy Thompson of St, James FBHC in Elizabethtown and its choir at 7 p.m.

— As part of its anniversary celebration, Baldwin Branch Missionary Church will host Elder Christopher Brown Jr. of Holy Tabernacle UHC and its choir of Roseboro at 7 p.m.

— As part of its anniversary celebration, Baldwin Branch Missionary Church will host the Rev. A. Reginald Wells of Falling Run Missionary Baptist Church and its choir of Fayetteville at 7 p.m.

Aug. 5

— Windsor United Methodist Church, located on N.C. 242 in Ammon, will host a food bank fundraiser from 4 to 6:30 p.m. There will be a chicken and pastry dinner that will include slaw, candied yams, green beans, roll, tea and cake for $7. Cakes and other items will be raffled off at 6:30 p.m.

— The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Women’s convention, “Women With A Praise, Take Off The Mask,” will be held each night at 7 p.m. The services kick off on Wednesday, Aug. 16, featuring Minister Sherecka Baker​ of Evangel Temple in Dublin and continue Thursday, Aug. 17, with Apostle Andria U. Weekes of Greater Works Church of Deliverance Ministries in West End; Friday, Aug. 18, with Pastor Tracy Troy of Victory in Jesus Ministries of Whiteville. There are no services on that Saturday. The convention concludes Sunday morning, Aug. 20, beginning at 10 a.m. with Pastor Cheryl Moore of Zion Temple United Church of Christ in Durham. The entire spiritual undertakings will be held at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church, located at 4047 N.C. 242 South in Elizabethtown.
