— First Baptist Church, located at 521 Martin Luther King Jr. St. in Bladenboro, will host its annual Women’s Day Observance with the heme “God’s Great Gift.” The day will open with a breakfast message at 8 a.m. from the Rev. Elizabeth Anderson of Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Laurinburg; followed by a worship message at 11 a.m. from the Rev. Linda Inman, president of the Women’s Home and Missionary Convention of N.C. All are invited.

— Central Presbyterian Church in Clarkton will be celebrating its annual homecoming at 11 a.m, followed by a lunch. The guest speaker for the service will be the Rev. Grant Martin. All are welcome.

— The Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church family will be celebrating 109 years of service to the area. Celebrations begin at 9 a.m. with Sunday School and 10 a.m. morning worship services. Lunch served at noon. They continue at 3:30 p.m. featuring the Rev. Vincent Meares of St. John AME Zion Church and choir from Wilson. Meares is the former pastor of Mt. — East Bladen High will host “Gospel Jam Explosion” with Willie “B.B.’ Brown of Fayetteville serving as master of ceremonies.
