DUBLIN — The Lady Knights exploded for a 16-run fourth frame Saturday and handed visiting St. Pauls a 25-1 non-conference loss.

West Bladen got on the board with five runs in the bottom of the first highlighted y an RBI double by Laikyn Pait.

The Lady Bulldogs plated a run in the top of the second, but the West lead was extended to 9-1 in the home half behind an RBI singles by Carley Dawson and Pait.

After a scoreless third, West Bl;aden sent 22 batters to the plate in the fourth and opened a 25-1 advantage. The huge inning featured an RBIs single by Jenna Dove, Kassidy Anderson, Logan Autry, Dawson and Pait. Conner Brisson smacked a two-run double in the inning, Autry roped another RBI single and Maegan Brady had an RBI single.

Pait led the Lady Knights at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three RBI; Autry was 3-for-5 with three RBI; Dawson went 2-for-4 with three RBI; Alanna Ludlum was 2-for-5; and Brisson had the two-run double.

Sophia Singletary earned the win from the circle, giving up two hits, two walks and striking out two.

— In Dublin on Saturday, the Knights and Bulldogs of St. Pauls combined for 36 runs, with the Bulldogs getting the best of things in a 26-10 non-conference win.

The Bulldogs never trailed in the game, as each team scored a run in each of the first two innings and St. Pauls plated a go-ahead run in the third.

The visitors scored five times in the fourth for an 8-3 edge and, after West Bladen scored a run in the home half, St. Pauls tacked on five runs in the fifth for a 13-3 advantage.

The Bulldogs added four runs in the sixth, but the Knights scored seven times to close the gap to 17-10.

St. Pauls erupted for nine runs in the seventh to seal the 16-run win.
