Lady Eagles ousted by South Columbus

TABOR CITY — East Bladen High’s volleyball season came to an end on Saturday in the first round of the Class 2-A state playoffs at the hands of South Columbus High.
The Lady Eagles, the No. 3 seed out of the Four County Conference, were swept by the Lady Stallions, the No. 1 seed out of the Three Rivers Conference, by the scores of 25-21, 25-10 and 25-20.
Lacey Suggs and Abbey Norris each recorded six kills in the match for East Bladen, while Brooke Smith had a pair of aces and a kill. Imani Turner-Dobson contributed two blocks and a kill.
The Lady Eagles finished the season at 5-14, while South Columbus moves into the second round of the playoffs with a record of 17-2
