CLINTON — The Dark Horses rode a late surge to take a 63-59 Four County Conference win over visiting East Bladen on Saturday.

The loss snaps a four-game winning streak by the Eagles and drops them to 9-8 overall, 4-5 in the conference.

East Bladen fought back from deficits to knot the game at 51-51 and 53-53 in the fourth quarter, but Clinton used a 10-6 run to close the game and seal the win.

“We missed a lot of layups early and made too many mistakes,” said East Bladen coach Ken Cross. “We played hard, but it wasn’t enough this time.”

Jaquan Jones scored 24 pints to lead the Eagles.
