DUBLIN — On a perfect afternoon for softball, the Lady Knights erupted for five first-inning runs and never looked back in an 11-0 non-conference win over visiting St. Pauls on Saturday.

The win improved West Bladen to 6-0 this season.

In the circle for the Lady Knights, Nicole Wyatt ran her own record to 6-0 by twirling four innings — striking out eight of the 12 batters she faced and giving up no hits. Morgan Sweeney pitched the final two innings and completed the no-hitter. She fanned three and walked one.

Sweeney also gave West Bladen a first-inning boost when she cleared the bases with a three-run triple during the five-run uprising.

The lady Knights added two runs in the second; two more in the fourth, sparked by a double from Courtney Thompson; and two more in the sixth, highlighted by a double by Laikyn Pait and two RBI from Thompson.

Taylor Stephens finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and three stolen bases for West Bladen.
