All the Bladen County teams playing in the Dixie Pre-Majors summer baseball league came up on the short end of scores Monday.
— In Tabor City, the home-standing Stallions of South Columbus took advantage of early miscues by visiting East Bladen and rode them to a 10-2 win.
Eagles starter Matthew Massengill suffered the consequences of those errors and took the loss on the hill after managing to get through just two innings.
— In Southport, the Cougars of South Brunswick clawed their way to an early 7-0 lead over visiting West Bladen No. 1 and coasted to an 8-3 win.
Mason Hester started on the mound for the Knights, but was knocked off the hill by a six-run second inning. From there, Scott Bowen came on in relief and held the Cougars in check the rest of the way.
— In Dublin, the Vikings of West Columbus hammered West Bladen No. 2, 16-0, and handed the Knights just their second loss of the season.
Jeremy Hunt took the loss from the hill for West Bladen and the Knights could manage just one hit in the game, a single by Michael Pastore.
