Last week one of your staff was so kind and considerate in helping me arrange an obituary in the Bladen Journal after the loss of my oldest sister Nancy Morgan Brown.

While trying to work through and around some some frustrating system format constraints that were beyond her complete control, Chrysta Carroll took several calls from me, and continued to show patience not everyone in public contact work realizes is so important for consistently positive customer service. You must consider her a great asset, and I wanted you to personally know what she did was/is so appreciated.

Our family moved to Elizabethtown in 1947 after World War II and stayed until 1968. In my high school class were Bruce McCulloch, whose family ran the Bladen Journal, football star Ebbie Clark, fastball ace baseball pitcher Dr. Dave Allen, plus still positive cheerleader Sylvia Brisson Campbell. Leslie Johnson and Pat Melvin were my neighbors growing up on Morehead Street. So you can see why I’ve always considered dear E-town home.

Thanks for assistance at times in the past, and especially most recently for the quality help provided by your wonderful representative Chrysta.

John E. Morgan
