It is an exciting year for Caitlyn Clark, a North Bladen High School Senior,who will dance in her first big role in the "Nutcracker Ballet". This year's production of the North Carolina State ballet "Nutcracker" takes the stage at the Crown Center Theatre in Fayetteville on Sundays, December 6th and 13th and Saturday,December 12th. The cast of sixty plus Dancers and Actors is directed by, Charlotte Blume. The Ballet will star, Barbara Toth and Wei Ni in the legendary roles of "Sugar Plum Fairy" and "Cavalier". Both Ms. Toth and Mr. Ni are International Stars who have performed with Companies in China, the U.S., Canada and Europe. Ms. Clark, the daughter of Cynthia Clark-Moss and Daniel Bryan, will perform as a "Teenager" in the "Party Scene". Wei Ni will also dance the "Nutcracker Prince" with Anne Talkington who alternates the role of "Clara" with Dara Buffaloe. The Ballet of the Season is presented in Two Acts and Three Scenes. Set in the 19th century, it is the story of "Clara", who receives an enchanted "Nutcracker" from her Godfather(Drosselmeyer) and then embarks on a Magical Journey. She travels from the terror of the "Mouse King" to a Romantic Odyssey with the "Nutcracker Prince" to the "Land of Snow" and to the "Land of Sweets".
