Golf camp set for Carolina Sands

WHITE LAKE — Two sessions of a golf camp will be held at Carolina Sands Golf Course.
The first session will be held June 24-26; the second session will be held July 22-24.
Each session will run from 9 to 11 a.m. each day. The fee is $40 per person.
The sessions will include instruction in the basic golf swing, bunker shots, putting, golf etiquette and rules. There will also be competitions, drills, snacks and prizes.

Carolina Vipers to hold tryouts

ELIZABETHTOWN — Tryouts for the Carolina Vipers football team will be held Sept. 7 at the Bladen County Parks and Recreation park on U.S. 701 South.
Pre-registration begins at 10 a.m. and tryouts begin at 11 a.m. You must be at least 18 years of age and there is a $20 tryout fee.

Desmond Bryant camp is June 22

ELIZABETHTOWN — The second annual Desmond Bryant Football Camp will be held at East Bladen High on Saturday, June 22.
The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participation is free for ages 6 to 18 years old, but anyone wishing to take part must be pre-registered.
Registration can be done at East Bladen High, West Bladen High and Bladen County Parks & Recreation. A parent’s signature will be required.

Soccer camp coming this summer

ELIZABETHTOWN — Challenger Sports will be hosting their British Soccer Camp in Elizabethtown this summer.
The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s team of 1,000 British coaches flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.
The camp will take place at the Municipal Field on July 8 through 12, and the camp is for boys and girls, ages 3 to 16 years old. Each camper receives a free soccer ball and camp T-shirt.
