Narc agents serve warrant
WHITE OAK — On Thursday, Bladen County Sheriff’s Department deputies executed a narcotics search warrant at 8916 Burney Road in the White Oak area and came away with two arrests.

According to Sgt. Scott Pait of the Narcotics Division with the Bladen County Sheriff’s office, “this search warrant was the result of citizen complaints and a 24-month undercover operation.”

Pait went on to say that “over four pounds of marijuana was recovered from this residence along with 31 firearms. Illegal liquor (moonshine) and evidence of a cock-fighting operation during the search warrant. Officers also observed a very large rooster in the rear of the residence tied to a weight.”

Arrested was Dayton Harold Hodge and Janice Faye Hunt on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Both were released on a $5,000.00 bond.

“They operated the drug business from their home for several years and, until now, we didn't have enough evidence to charge the two,” Pait said.
