GREENVILLE — Raven Nicole Ross received the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center Academic of Excellence Award at East Carolina University on Friday, Sept. 28.

The award was given to Ross during the ALAANA Academic Honors Ceremony at Hendrix Theatre on the Campus of ECU. The award is given to diverse students who maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Ross is a sophomore at ECU and is a 2011 East Bladen graduate. She is the daughter of Obie and Yvette Ross of Elizabethtown and the granddaughter of Allen and Marie Anderson and Mary Ross of Elizabethtown.
