ROSE HILL — The Union Spartans bombed in eight three-pointers and earned their first Four County Conference win on Tuesday, knocking off visiting East Bladen by a 65-63 margin.

The loss drops the Eagles to 2-21 overall and 1-12 in the conference.

Union opened the game on fire and raced out to a 23-10 lead going in to the second quarter.

East Bladen answered with a 22-12 burst through the stanza and trailed by just 35-32 at halftime.

But the Spartans managed to keep the Eagles at arms length through the third quarter, earning a 17-16 advantage and extending the lead to 52-48 going into the final 8 minutes of play.

East Bladen couldn’t generate enough firepower down the stretch and, despite winning the fourth frame 15-13, fell to the Spartans.
