East, West back in action


Mother Nature expected to cooperate Friday

Mother Nature washed out all of the games for East Bladen and West Bladen on Tuesday, which means the Eagles and Knights have gone about a week since competing.

But things have hopefully dried out enough to allow the teams to get back out on the diamond and pitch to pick up with Four County Conference play.

The schedule for Friday and Saturday is as follows:

Baseball

— East Bladen will travel to Burgaw for a 7 p.m. conference game against Pender County on Friday. The Eagles are currently 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

— West Bladen will travel to Rocky Point for a 7 p.m. conference game against Heidi Trask on Friday. The Knights are currently 3-3 overall, 1-0 in the conference.

— West Bladen will host West Columbus in a non-conference game at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Softball

— East Bladen will travel to Burgaw for a 6 p.m. conference game against Pender County on Friday. The Lady Eagles are currently 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

— West Bladen will travel to Rocky Point for a 6 p.m. conference game against Heidi Trask on Friday. The Lady Knights are currently 4-1 overall, 1-0 in the conference.

— West Bladen will host West Columbus in a non-conference game at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Soccer

— East Bladen will travel to Burgaw for a 5 p.m. conference match against Pender County. The Lady Eagles are currently 4-1 overall, 0-1 in the conference.

— West Bladen will travel to Rocky Point for a 5 p.m. conference match against Heidi Trask. The Lady Knights are currently 1-5 overall, 1-0 in the conference.
