Lady Eagles fall, 14-1

TEACHEY — Wallace-Rose Hill put together a trio of four-run innings, belting 17 hits, and handed visiting East Bladen a 14-1 mercy-rule loss on Thursday.

The Lady Eagles fall to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the conference.

The Lady Bulldogs scored four runs in the first, four runs in the third, two runs in the fourth and closed out the game with four runs in the sixth.

East Bladen avoided the whitewash with a run in the third inning when Majesti Corbett walked, Ja’Tyra Moore-Peterson singled and Faith Johnson smoked an RBI double. Emily Scott followed with a single and stole second base, but both Johnson and Scott were left stranded.

The Lady Eagles will host Union in a conference game at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
